What should I wear and bring to the day of the event?
You want to avoid cotton and anything heavy. Don't wear big, cotton t-shirts or sweatpants. Cotton will absorb water, add weight, and slow you down. Not to mention cause major chaffing. Spandex or moisture wick shirts with sleeves are a good choice for this event. It's lightweight and won't hold much water, and will prevent abrasions. Expect your clothes and running shoes to get damaged during the obstacle course, so don't wear anything you care about. Bring a change of clothes and shoes. Pack a garbage bag, your clothes are going to get absolutely dirty, so if you don't want to throw away your clothes, use the garbage bag as your laundry bag. This way you won't get your gear bag muddy.
How long will it take to do the course?
The average person takes about 2 hours to do the entire course.

How do I fundraise with a TEAM?
We encourage you start a team or to be a part of a team. You can join with friends, family, colleagues and schools and as TEAM to train and fundraise together. A team fundraising page can be provided to make fundraising easier, each participant is responsible for reaching their individual fundraising commitment. If you are part of a TEAM, the objective is to reach the TEAM Goal. For example, if there are 5 participants with a fundraising minimum of $1000 each, the team goal is $5000.00. As long as the team goal is met, it doesn’t matter if each person doesn’t raise the individual fundraising commitment. The TEAM GOAL can be easier, and many times 2 or 3 team members exceed their goals.
I am concerned that I might not be able to raise the required funds. Will I be able to do it?
Even if you've never raised money before, our materials and strategies will make it easy for you to solicit and collect sponsorships from friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and others. Experience has shown that it is not only possible, but enjoyable, to set and reach your goals. When you register, you will be sent an email and 6 easy steps to raising $1000 will be included. Also note, many companies offer charitable donation matching programs - make sure to ask your sponsors to check with their employers, as it will help you meet your goal even more quickly. OHEL children and families rely on you meeting your fundraising goals. We will work with you and we are confident you will be successful!
